Step 1: |
Launch the
app by pressing the app icon on your home screen. |

Select the
desired course by pressing the "Courses" button. |

Once your
course is loaded and the first hole is displayed, press the lock
button. This will save your current location and conserve battery
life. |

Step 4: |
As you
approach a shot where you require a yardage measurement, unlock the
iPhone. The app will return to the hole you were on when you last
locked the iPhone. You may or may not need to advance to the next
hole. As you approach your ball, the device should acquire a solid GPS
signal and as you reach your ball you should have a strong signal and
accurate yardage reading. It normally takes about 15-20 seconds to
re-acquire the signal so give yourself a bit of time as you approach
your ball to ensure you don't have to wait! Green is the strongest GPS
signal. Red is the weakest. After reading your yardage, lock the
phone. This is very important to prevent unwanted buttons from
accidentally being pressed causing you to have to reload your course
or even the application. |
